چکیده
Abstract Microbial moribunds after microbial biomass turnover (microbial residues) contribute to the formation and stabilization of soil carbon pools; however, factors influencing their accumulation on a global scale remain unclear. Here, we synthesized data for 268 amino sugar concentrations (biomarkers in grassland forest ecosystems meta-analysis. We found that organic carbon, carbon-to-nitrogen ratio, aridity index were key predicted residual accumulation. Threshold ratios identified (~0.768 ~9.583, respectively), above which residues decreased sharply. The threshold was associated with humid climate range. suggest ratio may coincide sharp decrease fungal abundance. Although dominant vary between ecosystem zone, being important throughout, our findings environment govern residue

The Effect of Land use and Soil Erosion on Soil Organic Carbon and Nitrogen Stock
Soil organic carbon (SOC) is a principal component in soil quality assessment. Knowledge of SOC and total nitrogen (TN) stocks are important keys to understand the role of SOC in the global carbon cycle and, as a result, in the mitigation of global greenhouse effects. SOC and TN stocks are functions of the SOC concentration and the bulk density of the soil that are prone to changes, influe...
متن کاملModeling soil microbial dynamics in carbon and nitrogen cycling
Goal To determine the relative importance of different mechanisms that influence carbon loss from soil under variable soil-moisture conditions. The soil contains more carbon than the atmosphere and plants combined (Scurlock and Hall 1998). This carbon is important for maintaining soil fertility, controlling erosion, and the long-term storage of carbon that could be released into the atmosphere....
متن کاملSoil Microbial Biomass Carbon and Nitrogen in Himalayan Rangeland of Eastern Nepal: A Comparison between Grazed and Non-grazed Rangelands
Soil microbial biomass plays an important role in nutrient transformation in terrestrial ecosystems. Microbial biomass is also an early indicator of changes in total soil organic carbon. Thus, the main objective of this study was to identify and quantify the present status of soil microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen with various management practices in Himalayan rangeland. To meet the aforeme...

A field experiment was conducted to examine the effects of different depths ofnitrogen (N) fertiliser placements on N accumulation, remobilisation and NO3−-Ncontent in soil of rainfed wheat. Nitrogen was applied on the surface (D1) and inthe 10 cm (D2), 20 cm (D3) and 30 cm (D4) soil layers from 2010 to 2012.Compared with D1 and D2, D3 and D4 treatments obtained significant higher Ndistribution...
